Application & Removal

Application Option 1: Adhesive Nail Tabs Method

⭐ Best For: Customers wanting a quick, temporary option or those avoiding glue.

⌛ Estimated Wear Time: Up to 1-2 weeks with proper care.

💡 Why It’s Shorter: Adhesive tabs are less secure than glue, making them more prone to lifting, especially with frequent hand washing or heavy use.

Supplies Needed

  • Feral Claws Press-On Nails
  • Feral Claws Application Kit (includes: mini nail file, mini nail buffer, cuticle pusher, tip adhesive tabs, alcohol prep wipe, nail scrubber brush)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Prep Your Hands: Use the nail scrubber brush with soap and water to clean your hands, removing dirt and oils. Dry completely.
  • Push Back Cuticles: Gently use the cuticle pusher to push back cuticles, exposing more nail surface for better adhesion.
  • Buff Lightly: Use the mini nail buffer to lightly rough up your natural nail surface. Keep it minimal—just enough to help the tabs stick.
  • Clean Your Nails: Use the alcohol prep wipe to clean each nail, ensuring a fresh, dust-free surface for the tip adhesive tabs to stick.
  • Apply Adhesive Tabs: Peel off one side of a tip adhesive tab and press it firmly onto your natural nail. Then peel off the top layer.
  • Press On: Align the press-on nail with your cuticle at a 45° angle (leave a hairline gap to avoid skin contact). Press the nail down firmly, from the cuticle to the tip, for 10-15 seconds until it feels secure.
  • Repeat: Apply to all nails, one at a time, for a neat finish.
  • Final Check: Press each nail again for 5 seconds to ensure they’re stuck well. You can use them right away—no drying time needed!

⚠️ Safety Tips

  • If a nail feels loose, replace the tab instead of forcing it to stay—loose nails can trap moisture and cause issues.
  • Avoid over-buffing your natural nails to keep them strong.
  • Remove carefully (see below) to avoid pulling on your natural nails.

Application Option 2: Nail Glue Method

⭐ Best For: Customers wanting a longer-lasting wear time.

⌛ Estimated Wear Time: Up to 2-3 weeks with proper care.

💡 Why It Lasts Longer: Nail glue creates a stronger, more durable bond compared to adhesive tabs, sealing the press-on nail tightly to the natural nail.

Supplies Needed

  • Feral Claws Press-On Nails
  • Feral Claws Application Kit (includes: mini nail file, mini nail buffer, cuticle pusher, tip adhesive tabs, alcohol prep wipe, nail scrubber brush)
  • Nail glue (I recommend Beauty Secrets Drip & Clog Proof Nail Glue)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Prep Your Hands: Use the nail scrubber brush with soap and water to clean your hands, removing dirt and oils. Dry completely.
  • Push Back Cuticles: Gently use the cuticle pusher to push back cuticles, exposing more nail surface for better adhesion.
  • Buff Your Nails: Use the mini nail buffer to lightly rough up your natural nail surface. Keep it minimal—just enough to help the glue stick.
  • Clean Your Nails: Use the alcohol prep wipe to clean each nail, ensuring a fresh, dust-free surface. This helps the glue stick better and reduces infection risk.
  • Apply Glue: Put a small drop of nail glue on the center of your natural nail. Then add a thin layer to the underside of the press-on nail (about the same size as your nail). Less is more—too much glue can spill out and irritate skin.
  • Press On: Align the press-on nail with your cuticle at a 45° angle (leave a hairline gap to avoid glue touching skin), then press down firmly, from the cuticle to tip, for 10-15 seconds. Hold until the glue sets. Wipe away any excess glue with a damp cloth immediately.
  • Repeat: Do this for all nails, one at a time, to ensure precision.
  • Final Check: Once all nails are applied, press each one again for 5 seconds to secure. Avoid water for at least 1 hour to let the glue fully dry.

⚠️ Safety Tips

  • If glue gets on your skin, clean it off quickly to avoid irritation.
  • Avoid over-buffing your natural nails to keep them strong.
  • Remove gently (see removal tips below) to prevent nail damage.

💡 Which Lasts Longer?

  • Adhesive Nail Tabs Method: This lasts shorter, up to 1-2 weeks, as tabs are less resistant to water and wear. It’s perfect for short-term use, like events or weekends, or for those hesitant about glue.
  • Nail Glue Method: This is the longer-lasting option, with an estimated wear time of 2-3 weeks. The glue forms a waterproof seal, making it ideal for customers who want durability through daily activities like washing dishes or exercising.

Safe Removal Tips (For Both Methods)

⚠️ Safety Tip: Never rip off press-ons, as this can tear your natural nail layers and cause pain or damage.

  • Nail Glue Removal: Soak nails in warm, soapy water for 10 minutes. Gently wiggle a cuticle pusher under the edge of the press-on to lift it off. If it resists, soak longer—don’t force it. Clean off glue residue with acetone and a cotton pad, then wash hands.
  • Adhesive Tabs Removal: Soak in warm, soapy water for 5-10 minutes. Lift gently with a cuticle pusher. If it resists, soak longer—don’t force it. Peel off any leftover tab residue with your fingers or a soft cloth—no acetone needed.
